Elizabeth is the Managing Director at Laven responsible for heading the Regulatory Hosting Service and managing the Appointed Representatives platform. She joined Laven in 2018 and has been instrumental in setting up and refining the operational aspects of the firm, including policies, procedures, and workflows critical to delivering effective regulatory hosting solutions. Elizabeth’s responsibilities extend beyond compliance, encompassing functions such as overseeing governance frameworks, implementing risk management systems, and optimising the firm’s operational efficiency.
Elizabeth has developed significant expertise in contract law during her time at Laven, alongside a strong focus on corporate governance and financial regulatory frameworks. She uses this knowledge to train both clients and colleagues, fostering best practices across the board.
Prior to joining Laven, Elizabeth formed part of the compliance team at a start-up specialising in alternative financing, which also held status as an appointed representative firm. She has also worked in the compliance and legal team of a reputable London-based hedge fund, giving her broad experience across the alternatives sector, with a particular focus on private equity and venture capital.
Elizabeth graduated with an LLB from City, University of London.
