Iriani is a Compliance Associate whose main role is to assist in the monitoring of our Appointed Representatives (ARs) and facilitate their onboarding. She works closely with the Compliance Officer to ensure adherence to guidelines and regulatory requirements, monitoring financial transactions, identifying potential risks, and proposing corrective actions. Additionally, she supports the Firm’s Compliance and Financial Crime Investigation teams, aiding the MLRO in managing AML, ABC, Market Abuse, and Tax Evasion policies.
Iriani also performs the role of Content Analyst, focusing on the content and processes on the regulatory technology (RegTech) software used by Laven Hosting, Leo, to monitor its clients. This includes maintaining the templates and modules that are used by Laven and its Appointed Representatives.
She holds a MSc in Human-Computer Interaction Design from City, University of London, and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Leeds. Prior to joining Laven she was a Project Assistant at City, University of London researching financial services for carers. She was previously a Writer/Reporter at a business and investment magazine, The Edge Malaysia. She was also a legal volunteer with Citizens Advice and the Disability Law Service.
